2. Introduction:The Victorian Museum has organized an exposition of famous English and American painters. You are art critics who have visited the Museum to study and write about the life and work of those painters.

CRITICAL REPORT MODEL:
Roy Lichtenstein.Roy Lichtenstein was born in 1923 in Manhattan, New York.
He was an important American pop artist best known for his
comic book style paintings. He was also an art teacher.
Contemporary art critiques once called him ‘the worst
American artist ever’ but by 1927 his works were at the
highest price in the market.
His death in 1997 was the result of complications due to pneumonia.

'Drowning Girl'This is one of the most famous paintings by Lichtenstein.
It shows a young woman in the sea. This woman is
drowning but the problem is not that she can’t swim. She
is crying and maybe she wants to die because she is sad.
I think this picture is quite depressing. I prefer other
pictures by Lichtenstein because they are funnier and more
colourful.
